It was brilliant to see a bumper crowd at Lowfield last weekend to celebrate Non-league Day with us. We ran a “pay what you like” scheme on the gate to encourage as many people to join us as possible and we were thrilled at the support from not only football fans, but the wider community as a whole. For many grassroots, volunteer-run football clubs, it can be hard to breakeven with all the costs of maintaining a pitch, clubhouse and paying for match officials and equipment. To have support from so many helps us to continue providing football for the town to enjoy and creates a wonderful atmosphere for all. Thank you to everyone.
We invite you to join us once again this weekend as we welcome NW London in our next league encounter in what we hope will be glorious spring sunshine.
NW London are currently 14th in the table and will be determined to turn around their recent form after experiencing comprehensive defeats in their last two games. Hoddesdon on the other hand come into this one after collecting seven points from the last three games, the latest a morale boosting derby win over neighbours St Margaretsbury. You can read a report of that game here.
For the Lilywhites, there is little room for error if hopes of a playoff place are to be kept alive. The challenge will be made tougher with the likely absence of key players Jack Riddle and top-scorer, Connor Bolton through injury. There is strength in the squad though and Arnis Lala will be looking to build further on his recent lively displays and Terell Sterling will be fresh from his goal scoring impact in midweek.
The previous meeting between the sides was an excellent 4-2 for Hoddesdon back in December where Jason Brown scored twice with Jimmy Agnew and Connor Bolton both chipping in. The Lowfield faithful will be hoping for more of the same this time. You can read that match report here.
The tea bar will be open serving hot and cold refreshments, as well as the clubhouse bar offering draught beers, ciders, and stouts from Greene King, fans can enjoy a welcoming atmosphere on and off the pitch. Lowfield365 Members will enjoy up to 20% off their round at the bar and you can sign up by clicking HERE.
Entry prices are £8 for adults, £5 for concessions, with free entry for under-12s. Bring your family and friends, and let’s make Lowfield a fortress as the Lilywhites continue their push for the playoffs.
Up the Hoddy!
