Hoddesdon finished the season with a 3–2 home win against FC Baresi, securing a 9th-place finish. It was an entertaining game, featuring plenty of positive attacking play from both sides, and the sunny afternoon at Lowfield provided the perfect setting to bring the season to a close.

The opening goal arrived on 24 minutes when Connor Bolton showed trademark pace and close control down the right before firing a crisp low drive past the keeper to give Hoddesdon the lead. The hosts went into the break 1–0 up.

FC Baresi took advantage of a rare lapse in concentration early in the second half to draw level on 50 minutes. Hoddesdon responded well, though, and ten minutes later were awarded a penalty. After a lengthy delay, the team’s top scorer Connor Bolton calmly placed the ball on the spot and restored the lead with a composed finish into the bottom right corner. 2–1.

On 65 minutes, Jason Brown made an excellent run down the right and delivered a perfectly weighted low ball across the box for Harrison Cage, who applied the finish his industrious performance deserved. 3–1.

There was still time for FC Baresi to pull one back in the closing stages, but Hoddesdon held on to secure a 3–2 victory.

Man of the Match went to Connor Bolton.
