It's a Wednesday night trip to Essex for The Lilywhites this week as they visit Hutton FC in the League.
This game was originally scheduled to take place back on the 2nd of September but their ground was unavailable due to Billericay Town being drawn at home in the FA Cup 1st Qualifying Round to Stowmarket Town (which Billericay won 7-0!)
Hutton Football Club was founded in 1928. The Club was further enlarged in 2005 by the merging of Hutton FC and Hutton Medway YFC. The Club holds the FA Charter Standard Community Club status and has over 60 teams with female and male teams from the youngest age groups all the way through to adults.
Our hosts currently sit proudly at the top of the Thurlow Nunn Division 1 South on 43 points, having played a couple more games than some of the chasing pack. They have played 21, won an impressive 14 games, lost 6 and have registered just the one draw. They have made their new home of Billericay Town an absolute fortress, with 7 wins, 1 draw and remaining undefeated at New Lodge, scoring 23 goals and conceding just 5 times.
If that wasn't daunting enough, they also have Andrew Webster in their ranks, who currently sits 4th in the league top goalscorer charts with 13 goals in 23 appearances and 16 in 23 in all competitions. Hutton have won their last 6 games on the bounce, including a resounding 6-1 home win last time out against Park View. Webster managed to score two in that game but he was outshone by hat trick hero Sean O'Callaghan in the rout. Stephen Judge is also one to watch who has 10 goals in 16 appearances too, so it's clear to see that Hutton have firepower all over the park. Hoddesdon will take heart from the 27 goals conceded in 21 games, but even so, 22 of those have been away from home with the afore mentioned 5 conceded at home.
For Hoddesdon, Dion Laughton continued to be a bright spot at the weekend, scoring his second goal for the club in the 3-1 away defeat to Clapton. His 43rd minute strike gave the Lilywhites a 1-0 lead but unfortunately, Hoddesdon collapsed in the 73rd minute and went on to suffer another heavy defeat. Once more, Bailey Eden showed excellent promise but this time it was from the starting line up rather than the bench, and his performance earned a man of the match award from the Hoddesdon spectators.
Kick Off is 7:45pm and all travelling support is welcome.
Please remember, Hutton FC play their home games at Billericay Town FC. See below for the ground address.
