The Maurice Rebak Stadium will play host to the Lilywhites this Saturday as they face an away trip to Enfield Borough.
Our opponents this weekend play their home games at the ground of Wingate and Finchley and Hoddesdon will be hoping that Enfield are still suffering from the hangover of being thumped 6-0 in the FA Vase last Friday by Woodford Town.
Taken from the Enfield Borough website, 'Enfield Borough were taught a harsh lesson on Friday evening as Woodford Town administered six of the best to send their opponents tumbling out of the F.A.Vase. While the gulf in class was evident, Borough had chances just after half-time to get themselves back into the contest, but they failed to show maturity and composure in front of goal.'
Last time out for Hoddesdon saw them nick a point at the death, as captain Jack Gibbs toe poked an equaliser in the 95th minute v Cannons Wood to earn a well deserved draw at Lowfield. The point still kept Hoddesdon at the bottom of the table but with 5 games in hand over many of their nearest rivals, the hope is that a win this Saturday will lift them clear of the drop zone, as well as their hosts, Enfield Borough.
Enfield currently occupy 18th position in the Thurlow Nunn Division 1 South and have 18 points from 17 games played. Their record stands as won 4, drawn 6 and lost 7, with a -16 goal difference. With only 1 league win at home this season, Hoddesdon will hope they can capitalise on that form and come away from Summers lane with the win and the crucial 3 points.
Marco Magunga represents Enfield Boroughs best chance of finding the net with 7 goals in 11 appearances this season. Kyle Finlayter-Lynch and Ocran Wilberforce also represent a threat with 3 goals each.
Kick Off is 3pm.
