We begin our Thurlow Nunn Division One South campaign with two consecutive away games. First up is a trip to Lymore Gardens on Friday 25th July, with kick-off at 7:45pm. The following week, we head to the Essex coast to face Southend Manor on Saturday 2nd August in a 3pm kick off.

Our first home fixture of the new campaign comes in the form of a very special cup tie. On Friday the 22nd of August, we welcome Burnham Ramblers to Lowfield in the First Qualifying Round of the FA Vase, with kick-off at 7:45pm.

This match holds special significance for everyone associated with the club. Hoddesdon Town FC were the very first winners of the FA Vase, lifting the trophy at the original Wembley Stadium in 1975. That proud legacy continues to inspire the current squad, and we’ll be looking to start another memorable FA Vase journey on home soil.

We would like to once again thank our fantastic co-tenants, Hoddesdon Cricket Club, for graciously allowing us to use Lowfield for this important cup tie, ahead of our official tenancy beginning later in the season. The relationship between the two clubs remains as strong as ever and is a real credit to the spirit of sport in our town.

Encouraging Signs in Pre-Season
Our preparations have been extremely positive, with the team building fitness, sharpness and confidence in a series of friendly fixtures. The highlight came last night at Lowfield, as we earned an impressive 1-0 victory over Step 4 side Ware FC.

Ware, two levels above us in the football pyramid, posed a tough test, but the team played brilliantly. A disciplined defensive performance and a well-taken goal sealed a morale-boosting win in front of a good home crowd – the perfect way to round off our home pre-season schedule.
