Hoddesdon Town FC Faces Power Outage at Lowfield
Hoddesdon Town Football Club has been dealt some bad luck after a fault developed in the main fuse board in the early hours of Monday morning, leaving the clubhouse without electricity. Fortunately, the floodlights around the pitch remain fully operational, so matches will still go ahead as planned.
After a brilliant weekend that saw Lowfield packed with fans, the first team win 2-0 against Hutton and two youth games played out on Sunday, this minor setback has left the clubhouse temporarily without power. A dedicated team is working around the clock to fix the issue, and with no midweek game, there’s time to resolve it before the weekend. However, until the problem is fully fixed, there are a few important changes for supporters.
Cash Payments Only Until Further Notice
Due to the power outage, the clubhouse card machines are currently not functional, meaning we can only accept cash payments at the bar and kitchen. We ask supporters to be prepared for this when attending upcoming games, as service may also be a little slower than usual.
Despite the disruption, Lowfield is still scheduled to host our friends at OIR FC for their first home game of the season this weekend, and the Under-17 side will play on Sunday at midday. The club assures fans that all games will proceed as planned but to be mindful of the current situation.
Hoddesdon Town FC would like to thank all supporters for their understanding and patience during this time. We are doing everything possible to restore full services at the clubhouse and will provide updates on the progress of the repairs.
We appreciate your continued support and look forward to seeing everyone back at Lowfield this coming weekend.
