Fifteen members, players and guests converged on the idyllic Essendon Country Club on Friday as the Hoddesdon Town Annual Golf Day got underway.
Bacon rolls, followed by 18 holes on the stunning New Course and then Ham, Egg and Chips were all the prelude to a prize giving ceremony that celebrated the best (and worst) of the club's golfing abilities.
Chairman Stuart Varney got the round underway, safely getting off the first tee without error, much to the disappointment of the watching crowd. You can watch the video HERE.
The weather was set fair and after a few chilly opening holes, the sun eventually made it's way out and made for a cracking afternoon on the picturesque Hertfordshire estate.
