CLUB STATEMENT – UPDATE ON DUNMOW TOWN FC GROUND SHARE

Hoddesdon Town Football Club wishes to provide a further update following recent developments concerning Dunmow Town FC and the use of Lowfield.

We can confirm that Dunmow Town FC have now been reinstated into the Thurlow Nunn League after successfully meeting the conditions set by the League Management Committee within the prescribed deadline. In addition, Dunmow Town have also met the conditions laid out by Hoddesdon Town Football Club in relation to our ground share agreement and ensuring the best interests of everyone at Lowfield.

As confirmed by the Thurlow Nunn League Secretary, Dunmow Town’s league fixtures will recommence from 27th December, and as such, Dunmow Town FC will once again be permitted to play their Thurlow Nunn Division One South home fixtures at Lowfield.

This has been a challenging and fast-moving situation for all parties involved. Throughout the process, Hoddesdon Town FC has worked closely and constructively with both the Thurlow Nunn League and Dunmow Town FC to ensure that any decisions taken were fair, proportionate, and in line with the terms of the original agreement, while also protecting the interests and sustainability of our own club.

We are pleased that a resolution has been reached which allows Dunmow Town FC the opportunity to continue their season, and we acknowledge the efforts made by those involved at Dunmow to meet the required conditions within a difficult timeframe. We also recognise and support the League’s position that clubs should be given every reasonable opportunity to survive and continue competing.

Hoddesdon Town FC looks forward to continuing the ground share arrangement for the remainder of the 2025/26 season, subject to the ongoing adherence to the agreed terms and conditions. Our priority remains the maintenance of a safe, professional, and well-managed environment at Lowfield for all players, officials, supporters, and volunteers.

Should anyone have any queries relating to Dunmow Town FC, their management structure, ownership and strategy, please contact them directly.

We would like to thank our supporters for their patience and understanding during this period, and we wish Dunmow Town FC every success for the remainder of the season.

Stuart Varney
Chairman, Hoddesdon Town Football Club
