24/7 A mix of 'A' team and Under-18 players did well against a Daventry Town XI and went down 8-0 in the first early game of the day. At 3pm a mix of Under 18s and Reserves took on the full Daventry Town First Team, and after holding their hosts for twenty minutes finally ran out of legs and were well beaten 14-0. Nevertheless, a great day's workout for many of the Reserves, Under-18s and 'A' Team players, and Franco Piazza felt a very satisfied Reserve Team manager. All the players were grateful for the experience, and pleased with the way they played in the first half hour of each of the games. A worthwhile trip and thanks go to Daventry Town for being gracious yet ruthless hosts! First X1

24/7 Some of the action from the game at Whitley Bay on 16 7 11, part of which was played in torrential rain! Whitley Bay
23/7 3-0 down after a lack-lustre opening quarter of an hour, Hoddesdon showed great spirit to pull back two goals against Takeley today, but then conceded a fourth just before half time. A much better second half saw the Lilywhites score twice and concede twice, but they also had an Alfie Branch effort cleared off the line and a Gary Simmonds blaster go across the face of an empty goal. Another excellent workout with some questions answered, but others still to be resolved. First X1
