MEET ALL THE FIRST TEAM MANAGEMENT

First Team Manager:

Andy Crawford

At just on thirty-one years of age, Andy was the popular choice to take over as Manager in 2010 when Geoff O’Vell stepped down, and has already made his mark by bringing in a strong team, together new coaching ideas and squad discipline. An experienced midfield player at Ryman League level with Ware, Cheshunt & Hertford. Andy runs a football coaching organisation, mainly for schools. His honours include a Ryman League Division Two championship and  the Roy Bailey Trophy twice.

Assistant Manager

Dean Barker

DEAN BARKER. PE Teacher Dean has joined Hoddesdon Town from Cockfosters, and with 40 goals in 2009/10 was the leading scorer in Division One of the SSMFL.  In all competitions he scored a total of 48 goals. Through injury and holiday he didn't make his full Hoddesdon Town debut until March 2011 when he came off the bench to score twice in the final fifteen minutes in a 5-0 win against London Lions. A prolific and mobile striker, he will be keen to make his mark in Division One again this season when he is able to return from an April operation, hopefully in January 2011. He will and have plenty of providers around him.

Sports Therapist

Sophie Vowden - BSc (Hons) Sports Therapy. MSST. CFI

In Sophie's own words

"Since graduating from The University of Hertfordshire, I have been working as a full time Sports Therapist. I have experience working in football, rugby, running, triathlons and tennis, treating children to the OAP, both sedentary clients and professional athletes.

I have recently been part of the massaging team for the Australian Women’s Rugby at the 2010 Women’s Rugby World Cup. I have also massaged many runners for half and full marathons over the last 4 years, from the London Marathon to the Great North Run.

I am looking forward to this season at Hoddesdon Town FC. My goal is to ensure the players are at their optimum fitness and to continuously monitor this throughout the season. With strength and conditioning and rehabilitation sessions, along with specific core and stretching work I will do my utmost to make these players successful. I’m sure there will be a few cries of pain during the massage sessions, not to mention the ice baths, but you know what they say, no pain…. no gain!

As well as working for Hoddesdon Town FC, I treat private clients. If you have a current injury and would like some advice and treatment please do not hesitate to contact me. Equally, if you would like a Sports Massage appointment please contact me on 07904 116757 or sophievowden@hotmail.co.uk"

Kit Manager

Keith Ford

Great to have Keith on board as our kitman, he makes sure all the kit is ready for the players immediately before a game, and sees to it that dirty socks, shorts and shirts are all turned the right way to appease our critical laundry ladies!! A true Swindon supporter and father-in-law to Danny Godfrey, Keith will miss the Hoddesdon games when his beloved Swindon are at home or in the reachable locality.
